Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s nomination as Secretary of Health and Human Services presents a serious threat to people living with diabetes as well as public health for everyone because of his long history of spreading medical misinformation and undermining evidence-based healthcare. As HHS Secretary, he would lead the federal agencies responsible for medical research, healthcare access, and public health protection - despite having actively worked against these very missions by promoting conspiracy theories and anti-vaccine rhetoric. He has no relevant experience to lead HHS, and his appointment would threaten decades of progress in healthcare access, quality, and medical advancement. This makes it crucial for senators to block his nomination and protect the scientific integrity of our nation's health institutions.

Beta Cell Action and over 80 other organizations sent a letter to senators outlining his lack of qualifications and anti-science views, urging them to vote against his nomination.
